|
|
|
$100: Sponsors one student on a tour of 4 Texas college campuses.

|
|
|
$300: Sponsors one student to attend a summer communications enrichment camp on a college campus. Students will participate in classes that provide an emphasis on writing, public speaking, and professional etiquette.

|
|
$10,000: Sponsors 100 students for a Texas College Tour. Many students will be the first in their family to attend college, and it is important to expose these girls to a variety of colleges. This tour will include visits to 4 colleges.

$30,000: Enrolls 100 students in a 3-day summer communications enrichment camp on a college campus. Students will participate in classes that provide an emphasis on writing, public speaking, and professional etiquette.

$75: Sponsors one student for a 2 day College Readiness Retreat. The retreat will focus on time and money management, adjusting to college life, and other issues affecting the success of first-generation college students.

$275: Sponsors one student for a 3-day Summer Wellness Camp that teaches students how to make healthy decisions in college and in life. This overnight camp is held on a college campus and focuses on healthy living, wellness life skills, nutrition science, and team building.

$2,000: Provides a 3 day Summer Admissions Camp for 75 senior students to help prepare them for the college admissions process. Participants will research colleges, create a final college list for applications, begin work on their essay/personal statement, and review the "nuts and bolts" of the college application/financial aid process. Students will also visit with university admissions and financial aid personnel.

$5,000: Sponsors a College Night at each school. Area College representatives will host information sessions at each FEYW sponsored school. The event will serve between 275 - 520 girls and their families at each school for the 2010 - 2011 school year.

| Parent College Readiness Programs |

$35: Sponsors a parent to attend Parent University. This 1 day summer boot camp for parents will demystify the college application and financial aid process.

|
$1,000: Provides a Family College Readiness Seminar at one FEYW sponsored school. A seminar will serve between 275-520 students and their families.

|
| Scholarship Funding |
|
|
|
$100: Provides support for the Gap Scholarship Funding Program.
|
|
|
|
$12,000: Provides four years of scholarship funding for one student.
|
|

$100,000: Provides Gap Scholarship Funding for approximately 30 eligible students at FEYW sponsored schools. The goal of this scholarship is to help alleviate a family's funding shortfall and to allow their child to attend the college of her choice once financial aid has been awarded by that college.

$85,000: Funds a single College Readiness Advisor at an FEYW sponsored school (serves 300 students).

$350,000: Funds a College Readiness Advisor for each of the four operating FEYW sponsored schools in Texas. Over 1,200 young ladies are served by advisors; each advisor serves approximately 300 young women.

The College Readiness Advisor creates a culture of college awareness and ensures every student is prepared for success in college upon graduation. For the 2010 - 2011 school year, each College Readiness Advisor will serve between 275 - 520 students, depending on school campus and enrollment. During their junior and senior years, students work one-on-one with the College Readiness Advisor for intense preparation for graduation and college.
