Volunteerism Committee ChairsTina L. Hernandez Overall Chair and Dallas Head Ms. Hernandez graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in 1991. She began her career with Dean Witter as a junior analyst in their mutual fund unit. From 1996 to 2000, Ms. Hernandez was a business analyst then transitioned over to an equity trader with Montgomery Asset Management in San Francisco. From 2000 to 2001, Ms. Hernandez was a Senior Trader with Avalon Global Asset Management, a hedge fund start-up with a technology bias. From 2001 until 2003, Ms. Hernandez was the Senior Trader at Precept Asset Management, a long-short discipline supported by options strategies. In 2003 Ms. Hernandez was employed by Arbitex Asset Management, L.P. where she traded a portion of the convertible bond portfolio. Ms. Hernandez currently co-manages the convertible securities portfolio at Tugar Capital. She is also instrumental in running other aspects of the business. Christine Drusch Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. Securities, Inc. Houston Chair Christine Drusch is responsible for broker/dealer financial operations, regulatory affairs, compliance, trading operations and human resources. Drusch is one of the founding partners of Pickering Energy Partners. She previously served as Managing Director and portfolio manager at Van Kampen, managing two mutual funds which invested in convertible securities and the utility sector which held a top quartile performance record. She began her career as a mutual fund accountant and quickly moved into investment analysis and portfolio management for the mutual fund group at American General. Drusch holds a BS in Accounting and Finance from Lehigh University. She earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1988. Lynne Fowler Employees Retirement System of Texas Austin Chair Lynne is a Senior Equity Analyst for Employees Retirement System of Texas. As part of the energy team, she focuses on global utilities and transportation infrastructure. Lynne began her financial career at ING Barings as an associate in the Natural Resources Group. After a couple of years of banking, Lynne joined a broadband telecom company where she served as Director of Corporate Development. Following the telecom bubble, Lynne applied her investment banking and corporate experience to distressed debt. Lynne joined ERS as a credit analyst and transitioned to public equities in 2008. Claire Hetherington, Esq. Assistant General Counsel, Oak Hill Investment Management Services Fort Worth Chair Claire Hetherington is an Assistant General Counsel of Oak Hill Investment Management Services and provides legal support exclusively to the firm. Prior to joining Oak Hill, Ms. Hetherington was a Senior Associate in the Corporate and Securities Practice Group of Haynes and Boone, LLP. Ms. Hetherington holds a J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law and an LLB (Hons) degree from the University of Northumbria, United Kingdom. Ashley M. Hunter President - HM Risk Group San Antonio Chair Ashley M. Hunter is the president of HM Risk Group, an international insurance, reinsurance and risk management brokerage. Prior to founding HM Risk Group, Ashley worked in various claims management positions for State Farm Insurance Companies, The Hartford Insurance Company and Chartis Insurance Company. In her role as president, Ashley has assisted many corporations with unique risk transfer options and reinsurance placement domestically and internationally. Ashley has a BM in Music Theory and Composition from Centenary College of Louisiana and a MBA in Finance from Texas A&M University. Ashley is also an accomplished concert violinist. |
